kitchen seen on the homepage is a kitchen renovation. The design is seamlessly integrated into the historical home. One would have to have a magnifying glass to see where the old and the new come together.
With our commitment and respect, your home is lovingly restored. The homepage rendering shows the
new kitchen exterior design with yard lantern lighting, and you can see the windows from counter to ceiling which surround the new historic preservation. There are also extremely large skylights in the kitchen which open and close via remote control. The skylight glass will darken or lighten with a touch of a button, and the new exterior rear entry will create a natural flow from the new kitchen to the gardens.
The elaborate kitchen interior design (also seen on the homepage) is Victorian style. Immaculate planning makes this a rich design statement through the use of flattering custom lighting, (six lighting systems are controlled by a palm pilot as well as two wall panel controls on either side of the kitchen), a six foot long limestone range hood with custom embellishment, French Lacanche range, custom stone sinks, and solid wood planking floors with radiant heat. The cabinets are expertly hand crafted, having a timeless design and historical charm. There are hundreds of cabinet drawings showing exterior and interior such as corbel and fluting design as well as custom cabinet interiors. The kitchen cabinetry houses the cappuccino maker, chill drawers, warming drawers, wine refrigerator, and a hutch for china, utensils, and glassware. The kitchen’s large cooking equipment remotely rises to counter height for use. There is a display hutch for glassware with recessed lighting, iPod drawer, and a shelf that can be pulled out for computer work. There are two pantries, and ample storage throughout the kitchen for additional cooking equipment. The period kitchen has a mix of solid woods, granite counter tops, French window treatments, and heavy architectural moldings outline the room. The historical kitchen design is classic simplicity, combined with tradition and an informal ambience which is an inviting environment for cooking and entertaining. |
